Whether beginner or advanced, children or adults – our ski school in Winterberg offers tailor-made courses for everyone. Learn to ski or snowboard, improve your skills or brush up on them in an atmosphere full of fun and enjoyment!
For little winter sports fans, we have a special children’s area with a magic carpet that makes skiing up the mountain child’s play. Our team of professional instructors offers courses in German, Dutch and English so that everyone can start their winter sports adventure safely and with pleasure.
Our courses take place from Monday to Sunday, 08:45 to 16:00, with extended opening hours on Friday for floodlit skiing until 20:00. Registration takes place via our ski school on the Poppenberg, whereby we attach great importance to punctual arrival and correct equipment. Group courses are available for groups of 5 or more, with flexible times for smaller groups. Please note that reservations for ski lessons are exclusively for Landal Ferienpark guests and we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance.

No. Ski passes must be purchased separately. You can find the ski pass prices at: www.skiliftkarussell.de. Beginners do not need a ski pass on the first day of the course!
Children up to and including the age of 5 accompanied by a paying adult with parental authority travel free.
All children must buy a ticket at the ski school.
The classification of children is primarily based on riding ability and age. If your children or their friends are similarly good skiers, please let the staff at the ski school office know on the first day that you would like to join a course together – we will try to take your wishes into account when planning.
We try to plan the courses so that the course times run in parallel – but we cannot guarantee this.
Most of our guests are beginners – i.e. guests who have never skied, have skied once or have not skied for a long time. Groups are allocated after an oral questionnaire on driving ability, age and language.
We will only refund money if a medical certificate (illness, injury) is available
Yes, the ski school is located right next to the valley station of the Poppenberg ski lift. From there it is only a 50 meter walk to the Poppenberg ski rental. This is located directly at parking lot 7 of the ski lift carousel in Winterberg.
You can enquire at the ski school office to find out more about the options available. We will check whether there are still places available in other courses. Please understand, however, that we cannot guarantee this.
The groups start on Saturdays and Tuesdays. However, it is possible for advanced students to join an existing group during the week.
Children from the age of 5 can take part in a ski course. For snowboard courses we recommend a minimum age of 10 years, but on special request it is also possible for younger children to attend a snowboard course.
Yes, our team also includes Dutch teachers.
Yes, the training days should be taken consecutively as the groups continue with the program and learn something new every day.
If the course days cannot be taken consecutively, you must discuss this in advance with the ski school office.
We accept EC card (Maestro) and cash. No credit cards!
We recommend that you attend group courses for at least two days. The group course program is structured for the whole week. We recommend that beginners take part for at least three days to learn the basics.
Reservations are only possible for guests of Landal GreenPark Winterberg. All other guests can only book a course directly on site.
